Armstrong County Jail

New construction of a 62,650 sq. ft., two-story, steel and masonry, jail facility with approximately 100 cells.

Security features include the latest security camera and tracking technology.

Nello was responsible for all carpentry, concrete, masonry, roofing, site work, paving, and associated finishes.

The jail contains complete laundry facilities, kitchen facilities that are set-up initially for prepared food warming but can be quickly converted to full service kitchen, gymnasium, basketball court, classrooms, offices, and staff exercise and shower room facilities.

The facility also contains a state-of-the-art prisoner transfer area and central processing station for new inmates.

Coordination with specialty contractors was required for the installation of two high-security "padded" cell units.
