Plan Room

Carnegie Municipal Building

New municipal facility comprising approximately 26,400 sq. ft. of building space.

Centerpiece of Carnegie’s rejuvenation from a steel mill town into a city with a vital business district and thriving arts community.

Leasable space on the first floor for 3 retail tenant spaces and unfinished tenant space on second floor for offices.

Property donated by Allegheny County Port Authority, who also built the Airport Busway along a 175-car Park-n-Ride lot at the east end of the property.

The building houses the borough’s administrative offices, including the Police Department with holding facilities, Zoning Department, Borough Council Chambers and Caucus Room.

Outside features an amphitheatre and public plaza with seating.

Our early involvement and extensive project collaboration with the owner, architect, and subcontractors produced the best possible building with the funds that were available. The construction team implemented many Value Engineering Solutions to reduce the original estimate of $4.1 million – without compromising the quality and aesthetics.
